Nicknamed "The Bubble," Derecha is the North Track's most popular righthand barrel, breaking over a shallow lava reef a short drive from Corralejo. It's a short, punchy, hollow wave that draws a steady stream of visiting surfers thanks to its combination of quality and relative accessibility.

The wave stands up fast over the reef, offering a genuine, if brief, tube section on its better days, with a channel alongside making the paddle-out and positioning more manageable than some of the North Track's trickier setups. This balance of quality and approachability is exactly why it's so well-known.

A small fishing hamlet on the North Track that lends its name to a cluster of peaky righthanders breaking over shallow, sharp lava reef nearby. Majanicho draws plenty of attention for its wave quality, but the shallow, undulating reef bottom keeps it firmly in experienced-surfer territory.

The setup produces punchy, often hollow peaks that reward a confident, quick-reacting surfer able to handle a critical takeoff over rock. Being spread along the North Track's dirt road, it sits among dozens of similarly shallow, similarly demanding reef options, each with its own subtle character.

Come only if you're comfortable surfing over shallow, sharp lava reef, and bring solid reef boots. Best treated as one stop on a wider North Track exploration rather than a single, fixed destination, conditions and crowds shift constantly along this stretch.

El Muelle

A left breaking right by the harbour wall in Corralejo itself, making it the single most accessible quality wave in the whole North Track area. El Muelle breaks over lava reef close to shore, giving a genuine reef-break experience without needing to drive the dirt road at all.

Its in-town location means it's rarely a secret, but the convenience of walking straight from a Corralejo apartment to a proper reef wave is hard to overstate for a shorter trip or a day when the North Track's rougher tracks aren't appealing. It handles a reasonable range of swell sizes.

Come with reef boots regardless of experience level, and treat it as your convenient home base wave while exploring the wilder, more remote breaks further along the North Track when you have more time.

The wave itself can be genuinely excellent when the tide and swell align, but the margin for error is small. Come only if you fully understand the risks, with proper reef protection, and ideally alongside someone who knows the spot well.
